Chapter 7: Candies and hearts, EVERYWHERE!

Well there she went, my first love Aleena, like sand out of a tight fist. Life had moved ahead, and I was no more a uniform clad boy, but a man en-voyage a professional degree, and this was when Lia had taken over my world with a storm.
My life in between these stories had now leaped ahead by a long way!
And yet, here I was back again... in a mall, sitting with Aleena, telling her my story.
“Well, we started meeting up every day” I said, as Aleena gestured me to continue.

••

A huge white canvas of the evening sky, the welkin like skyline was covered by the black clouds in patches on one side.
The orange sun scattered light through the white clouds, setting over the horizon, on the other side, with the lush green trees giving contrast to this picturesque view.
The evening seemed impeccable.
With cool breeze passing through my hair, Lia drove past the traffic on her bike, with me sitting pillion.
Some might think it’s not the manliest thing in the world, but given a thought, who can’t fall in love with a girl who rides bikes?
And more so, taking the back seat was out of question for this piece of work. And not just on bikes…
I on the other hand, honestly didn’t mind the back seat even a bit though. For those who have ever lived in Bangalore will know, and agree, that the roads here, are dotted for extra pleasure.
Latest victims to cupid’s conspiracy, with her being my first girlfriend, we traveled along unknown roads, just to be in each other’s company.
There was no task that I’d have loved to do, than spend few seconds with her… no one else I’d have wanted to be with, than her. Every moment passed in her company was a moment lived to its best and fullest.

This was all usual now, but the thrill never ceased to exceed. Be it dodging past our own houses, or those of our family acquaintances.
Simply holding hands during one of those long walks, or stealing kisses in broad daylight. Every sight of each other made us skip a beat, and finally the lines of “you are my sunshine” were not just listened to, but heartfelt.
I had her with days’ worth of friendship ‘foreplay’ and an equal amount of rigorous tries. She had me with a smile.
Seems about right, doesn't it?
